Surrey Youth Championships 2019

We had a some great results in the Surrey Youth Championships Sunday 27 January and were front page of the online edition of the Surrey/Epsom Comet with Angelo winning the U10 foil and getting his photo in the paper.

In U16 Foil Max Jones came 2nd with Rowan Halls 3rd.

Oliver Richardson from Epsom College was also 3rd.

In U19 Epee - Dan Thornton came 3rd.

Also good results for Epsom College in the girls competition : in U16 Sabre Caroline Lansdowne 1st and in U19 Stephanie Chu was 1st in Sabre and also 2nd in the U19 girls foil.

Surrey Team Foil Championships 2019

Epsom Fencing Club were champions for the first time. With a young team of Max Brooks, Rowan Halls and Max Jones (with not so young Nick Payne swapping in for the final match) EFC beat the other EFC U20 team, and then went on to beat Wimbledon FC in the final.

SE Regional Championships 2019

Max Jones got a bronze medal and Oliver Richardson came 5th so both qualify for the National Championships in Sheffield in May. [see photo attached]
